Mary Szabo

Mary Szabo,
PT, MSPT

Mary has served as the Clinical Director for Choice Physical Therapy of East Greenwich since its opening in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Physical Education at the University of Rhode Island in 1991 and a Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons University in 1995.  She has 25 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic injuries and clinical expertise in Active Release Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Dry Needling.  Mary is passionate about optimizing the patient care experience for all of her clients and building  excellence in her team to promote the best outcomes for all patients at Choice Physical Therapy.

In her spare time, Mary enjoys cycling, running, and hiking as well as spending time with her husband and children outdoors.

Erin Reynolds

Erin Reynolds,
PT, MSPT

Erin Reynolds received her Master of Science Degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College in 2001. She began her career in an acute care hospital in RI before transitioning to an outpatient physical therapy practice in East Greenwich, RI in 2004. She completed her Yoga teacher training in 2011 and enjoys practicing and facilitating yoga.  Erin loves working with a variety of patients using manual therapy techniques and creating exercise programs for her clients to be able to continue their lives with less pain and better independent movement.

When not at work, Erin loves spending time outside with family and friends hiking and camping. She can often be found exploring the RI beaches with her husband and son or playing beach volleyball.

Jaimee Enos Kress

Jaimee Enos Kress,
PT, DPT

Jaimee Enos graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2013. She then went on to Franklin Pierce University for Graduate school and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. Since graduating, Jaimee has grown professionally, working in both outpatient and the hospital setting and has become certified in Functional Dry Needling. Jaimee enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions as well as individuals with balance deficits. When Jaimee is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and their one year old Golden Retriever, Waffles. They can often be found outside going on hikes and walks, at the local RI breweries or watching sports.

William E. Burns, Jr.

William E. Burns, Jr.,
PT, DPT, OCS, SCS

Dr. Bill Burns has earned Master of Science and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy.  He holds dual board certifications in Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He is specially trained in Active Release Technique (ART), Graston Technique, and Functional Dry Needling.  His clinical practice interests include orthopedic manual therapy and post-surgical rehabilitation.  Dr. Burns is a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve and is presently serving with Expeditionary Medical Facility Bethesda.  He has served in military treatment facilities all over the world including a tour in Afghanistan.  An avid skier, Dr. Burns is a member of the National Ski Patrol and is an active patroller at Yawgoo Valley Ski Area in Exeter, Rhode Island.  As Clinical Director of Choice Physical Therapy of Westerly, he leads a talented and compassionate staff of therapists and administrators who provided the highest level of individualized and evidence based Physical Therapy to the community.

Kathryn Sacco

Kathryn Sacco,
PT, DPT, ATC

Dr. Kate Sacco graduated from Colby-Sawyer College with her degree in Athletic Training and went on to the University of Rhode Island to achieve her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011. She joined Choice Physical Therapy in 2020. Dr. Sacco is experienced with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, chronic pain, vestibular rehabilitation, and neurologic conditions. She is certified in Graston Technique and trigger point dry needling. Dr. Sacco enjoys working with patients of all ages and helping the patient reach their individual goals.  She is a devoted mother and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.

Catherine Dauphinais

Catherine Dauphinais,
PT, MPT

Kate graduated from Marquette University with her Master of Physical Therapy degree and immediately began applying her craft in helping all individuals gain their greatest freedom of movement and function. She started her career working with the youngest of our population, in Early Intervention, and brings her honed skills in neuro-developmental physical therapy to Choice Physical Therapy. Kate’s passion for expanding her skills as a physical therapist have led her to broaden her spectrum of care to include numerous orthopedic, spine and neuromuscular professional developments, including achieving full Pilates Instructor Certification through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). She truly enjoys helping people get back to doing the activities they love. When Kate is not working at Choice Physical Therapy, you will find her hiking trails both local and distant, paddle-boarding and enjoying time outdoors with her family and friends. Kate is thrilled to work at Choice Physical Therapy with loyal patients, thoughtful colleagues, and in the setting and clinical practice designed to allow for the professional connection a physical therapist needs to enable healing, wellness, and health.

Amanda Fusaro

Amanda Fusaro,
PT, DPT

Dr. Amanda Fusaro graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College in 2008. She has been with Choice Physical Therapy of Westerly since  2011. She practices an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to treatment, with a strong emphasis on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, postural/core stability, and patient education to restore functional and recreational activity performance. Dr. Fusaro is a certified M1 Graston Technique provider and directs the Choice Physical Therapy aquatic program at the Westerly YMCA. She is certified in The Burdenko Method which incorporates the healing properties of water to improve coordination, core stabilization, optimal postural alignment, global strengthening, and reduce pain. In her free time, Dr. Fusaro loves spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dog. Together they enjoy being outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends.

Brian Cruz

Brian Cruz,
PT, MSPT

Brian graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007 with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Brian joined Choice Physical Therapy in 2012 and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction, orthopedic/sports injuries, post-surgical procedures, and physical limitations affecting sports performance. Brian is an advocate of youth sports injury prevention and emphasizes team approaches with coaches, athletes, family, and medical practitioners. This embodied team process helps ensure safety and optimal performance is achieved with all athletes. Brian attained his Golf Fitness Instructor Certification from Titleist Performance Institute, the world's leading authority in golf health, fitness, junior development, biomechanics, and coaching education.  Brian is also a certified M1 Graston Technique provider.  Brian enjoys boating and spending time with family and friends on the water around southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island.
